Dr. James Lebolt earned his undergraduate degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, and his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Dr. Lebolt completed his internship at Michigan State University, Ingham Regional Medical Center, and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Michigan State University, Ingham Orthopedic Hospital, in East Lansing, Michigan. He then completed an Orthopedic Sports Medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Lebolt's training here benefited from the expertise of Dr. James Andrews, a physician to some of the greatest athletes in professional sports. He also received training at the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Pensacola, Florida, a facility focused on the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries.
Dr. Lebolt brings excellent qualifications and broad expertise to our efforts to provide comprehensive, highly coordinated, patient-centered care. His area of focus is on shoulder, elbow and knee conditions for all age ranges.
